TommyKaira Nissan GT-R to Debut at Tokyo AutoSalon 2010

Tokyo AutoSalon 2010 is coming up fast, if you plan on attending it’s about time to book your airfares and get your accomodation in order. One of the big unveils we’re looking forward to this year is the Tommy Kaira Nissan GT-R.

Much anticipated since we followed the production of the kit via the Tommy Kaira development blog we have yet to see the fully completed car.

What we have learned since the last update we made on the aero design is that Tommy Kaira will be upgrading the interior and suspension of the car as part of the complete package. The interior will be swathed in hand stitched red leather trim.

Tokyo AutoSalon will be held on the 15th, 16th and 17th of January 2010 at Makuhari Messe near Tokyo Japan. Until that time, these sketches in the gallery will have to tide you over.

Rays Volk Racing VR.G2 Wheels in GT-R Sizes Shipping Now

The awaited Nissan GT-R offset Volk Racing G2 are shipping now so you can finally get your hands on some if these look like they might be your style. These lightweight forged aluminium wheels, originally named after the legendary TE37, debuted at SEMA 2008 in the US and Tokyo AutoSalon 2009 in Japan and first appeared on the Mine’s GT-R. Since then they’ve been tweaked to look more aggressive on the GT-R and the tweaks are all for the better in my opinion.

The sizes seen here are 20x10J +30mm front and 20x11J +15mm rear. The same as those found as an option on the Zele Performance Complete Edition. Pickup a set through your favourite Rays Volk Racing wheels dealer.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2008: Part 6 – Mine’s and Power House Amuse R35 GT-Rs

Next up we have the Mine’s and Power House Amuse R35 GT-Rs. These were two of the most impressive R35s in terms of how much the workshops have done since the very recent release.

Mine’s were displaying their car with the following modifications:

- Mine’s Big Brake Rotor Kit and Mine’s Ceramic Brake Pads
- Mine’s Front and Rear Stabilisers
- Mine’s Full Spec Suspension III (Sachs dampers, Eibach springs)
- Mine’s Aero Mirror II (prototype shown on the display car – production units will be available in carbon)
- Mine’s Silence-VX Pro Titan II Exhaust (full titanium exhaust)
- Mine’s VX Rom ECU Update
- Mine’s Super Catalyzer II
- Mine’s VX Air Filter
- Mine’s Super Outlet Pro II
- Mine’s Stub Roof Antenna

Power House Amuse’s car was similarly impressive showing the following modifications:

- Amuse ROM ECU Update
- R1-Titan Extra STTI Exhaust with R1-Titan Catalyzer
- Upgraded suspension (18kg front spring rates, 12kg rear)
- Large rear wing with carbon wing element
- Larger front lip spoiler

This car is now making 541ps @ 6571rpm and has posted a 1:00 minute flat laptime around Tsukuba already.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2008: Part 5 – Impul, Power Enterprise and BadX R35 GT-Rs

Next up from TAS2008 we have R35 GT-Rs from Impul, Power Enterprise and BadX.

Probably the most interesting was the Power Enterprise R35 GT-R sporting pod filters, some silicon hoses and a painted engine cover. Some nicely chosen 20 Inch wheels finished it off.

Impul seemed to have had limited time to prepare their car just changing the wheels. I’m certain we will see a Impul 35R shortly though and judging from Impul’s previous cars it may be one to watch.

BadX on the other hand should probably have left their GT-R at home unless they were seeking the worst looking wheels of 2008 award. Congratulations if they were.
