AutoCar.co.uk pit the latest PDK Porsche 911 turbo up against the new Audi R8 V10 6 speed manual and the Nissan GT-R. They refer to the GT-R as the benchmark and also make quite a mention of the price difference.
Good video, not just because the GT-R beats out the latest batch of competitors but also it’s very interesting to see them back to back on the same day with the same driver.
This is no ordinary Youtube clip, film maker Dylan Osborn put together this short film to show what the Nissan GT-R is capable of and tell a story at the same time. You’ll love the ending too.
A family gathers to read their father’s will, but his final wish forces them into a high speed race. Will a Nissan GT-R give the estranged daughter Emily the edge she needs to earn her inheritance?
A Dylan Osborn film written by Sarah Haskins. Starring Victoria Haynes, Patrick Flynne, Sanam Erfani, Josh Lubin-Levy, Sarah-Doe Osborne, and Chuck McMahon. Director of photography Scott Uhlfelder. Produced by Seth Low-Tufo. Consulting producer Catherine Schuler. Original score by Eliot Gray Fisher.
Thanks to Dylan for the submission and keep it up!
Chris over at AutomoBlog has given me a heads up on a regular supercar meetup in North Carolina, USA. This is a meetup with a bit of a difference though because for $200 – $300, YOU could be in the drivers seat of three of the seven hottest machines on the street today – the Nissan GT-R included.
The cars in the lineup are impressive and include, the Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche 911 Turbo, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Nissan GT-R, BMW M3 and Mercedes C63 AMG. During one tour you’ll get to drive up to three of these on a one, two or four hour package.
AutomoBlog went along for a four hour package and wrote up their experiences, check the link below because if you’re nearby this may be right up your alley. Apparently the GT-R was banged up quite badly on the day they were there but has been replaced by now. Sounds like it doesn’t drive itself after all eh?
