Toshio Suzuki, Nissan’s Chief Test Driver launched his own tuning brand Nordring with a bang recently. Opening his workshop in Saitama, Japan he’s now revealed pricing for the various carbon pieces on display during the grand opening event.

There’s quite a few bits and pieces to see so we’ll just dump them in the table format:

You may have seen Knight Racer products adorning Nissan GT-Rs worldwide already. The UK based manufacturer has been in the Skyline / GT-R world for a good number of years now sporting a solid reputation of producing some fine quality carbon parts, so it’s fairly natural to assume it would continue when the latest GT-R launched in Europe earlier in the year.

Their range of Hybrid Carbon parts for the R35 Nissan GT-R is already quite broad covering many of the usual suspects. In the lineup they have a carbon oem style hood, carbon trunk lid, carbon rear wing, carbon front grille, carbon front lip spoiler, carbon rear exhaust protector, and carbon hood ducts. The guys also have less conventional items such as carbon full replacement front guards.

Knight Racer intends to expand it’s GT-R product range and to target the international market so expect to hear more news shortly. For now, hit up the Knight Racer website for more pics and more details on how to get your hands on these and more.

An amazing result for the Nissan GT-R camp as Steve Jones and Ruari Souter-Dawson take the outright win for the 2009 Quit Targa West held over the weekend in Western Australia. Jones took the lead over rival Nissan GT-R pilot Tony Quinn during Leg 2 of racing and maintained it for the entire third day of racing. Quinn ended up finishing in second place overall for the event but was then excluded from the final results in post race inspection due to an exhaust “irregularity”.

Steve Jones was the youngest winner ever for the Quit Targa West in 2008 so to pull off back to back wins is a damn good effort. Congrats to the team!

In the Modern Challenge class, the GT-R also came away victorious as brothers Mark and Andrew Conacher beat out their next fastest competitor by over 3 and a half minutes.

Great work to all involved and again a great highlight that the GT-R is now the force to be reckoned with in the tarmac rally world.
