The WALD Nissan GT-R is one of those cars you either love or hate. It’s grown on me a lot since the first debut in January this year. A full Black Bison fitted white R35 was camped out in the south hall so we grabbed a few photos of it.
For more info you can check out our WALD category for past posts including pricing and so on.

Arios have been tweaking the look on a customer’s R35 GT-R recently. They have had a full carbon fibre Zele Performance aero kit installed which is made up of the front lip, side skirts and rear underspoiler. They liked the look of the WALD rear over-fenders (from the WALD SportsLine aero kit) though and decided to integrate the looks. Overall I feel this is quite a successful combination. Once they add some ultra-wide wheels at the rear to properly fill up the guards it should look even better.
For now it’s a one off custom made set of over-fenders but I dare say it would not be hard for any competent body shop to emulate this if you were into that sort of thing.

We’ve been following the build up of the WALD Sports Line Aero kit from concept through to final molds here on GTRBlog and regular readers will have been anticipating the final product for some time. Finally we knew it’d be at Tokyo AutoSalon so we were extremely excited to see it.
But… personally, I missed the WALD GT-R, even after several laps of Makuhari Messe I didn’t find it. Fortunately our great friends at GTR-World.net know a little more about “asking directions” than we do so we’re able to snap a load of great photos on our behalf (ありがとうございました!).
As you can see the WALD Sports Line “Black Bison” Edition styling masterpiece remains quite faithful to the concept rendering from back in September 2008. It features the following components:
- Front Bumper Spoiler (Front Bumper/Front Lip/Grille Cover/Side Duct/Under Cover)
- Side Step
- Rear Diffuser
- Trunk Spoiler
- Rear Wing Element
- Rear Over Fenders
The Black Bison is finished with a set of WALD P13F three piece aluminium 22 inch wheels, 9.5 inches wide at the front and 10.5 inches in the rear. HKS HiperMax III suspension gives it that lowered stance.
On the inside WALD has tricked out the interior with it’s red leather and suede treatment which carrys the Nissan Japanese market Black Edition theme to the centre console, handbrake boot steering wheel and gear knob. Carbon fibre touches accentuate the shifter surround, steering wheel and gauge surround.

First draft of the shaping of the new WALD Sportsline full body kit for the Nissan GT-R is completed and moulds have been taken. WALD have completed the “master kit” and are now gearing up to produce the first full prototype and fit it to their WALD Sportsline GT-R demo car.
Exciting stuff because Tokyo Auto Salon 2009 is bearing down on us fast, come January this car will be on show at the WALD booth for the first public show. We fully expect the Sportsline to be on sale in late January.
GTRBlog will be at the Tokyo Auto Salon to get up close and personal with this kit as well as all the other action so stay tuned!

The WALD Sportsline body kit is certainly coming along with quite a lot of the clay work done on the front end now.
The front bar, front lip, headlights and grille are the main focal points and are almost completed in first draft stage. Looks slightly different to the renders around the fog lights. It’ll be interesting to see how it changes next.

WALD Sportsline Body Kit development continues. Focusing on the rear fenders this update but a little more has been done with the front end. Headlights are being shaped and vents have been cut roughly.
Slight more has also been done on the front bar, a bit of shaping and cutting to get the desired lines. More photos after the jump.

More progress on the WALD Sportsline body kit can be seen in this update from WALD. The initial design work is taken off the drawing board and sculpted in clay onto a GT-R (protected with masking tape). Once engineers are happy with this moulds will be taken for the first prototype parts to be built from.
Here we can see a start has been made on the front bumper, the grill, the headlight, the rear diffuser, the side skirts and the rear fender flares.
Hopefully with this amount of progress a prototype kit will be out sooner than expected. Don’t forget to check part 1 of WALD’s progress at the link below. Also a lot more photos from this update after the jump.

Not complacent in just making over the exterior of the GT-R, the WALD artists have taken to the interior of the R35 just as enthusiastically with carbon fibre and leather parts. Here you can see the gear surround and the main instrument surround tastefully recreated in CF.
We also see that the gear knob, hand brake boot and center console armrest are reclad in Nissan GT-R black-edition matching red on black Alcantara. A great looking addition to an already good interior.
WALD are on track to complete their GT-R demo car well in time for Tokyo Auto Salon 2009 in January next year. GTRBlog will be there early taking a full range of photos of this car up close so we can really see how it turns out.

The WALD Sportsline GT-R development has begun and so far the rear spoiler is modelled and the prototype is finished off in what else but dry carbon.
This spoiler is in two sections, a upper wing which wraps around the stock element and a second lip spoiler for the trunk lid.
