Power Enterprise GT-R Tuning Parts Priced

2009年2月27日

One of the stars of Tokyo AutoSalon earlier this year was Power Enterprise with their outrageous range of GT-R tuning parts. Throwing the book away they took the twin charging concept and unleashed it on the GT-R twice to come up with the Power Enterprise Four Charger Nissan GT-R with two turbos and two superchargers.

Regular readers will remember the mini debate over the seriousness of this setup but when we interviewed Power Enterprise in January we found that this was no joke.

Development has continued since then and now, for those of us ready to shop we have pricing on some of their gear. Without further ado here it is:

  • Power Enterprise Titanium Muffler: 466,000 yen
  • Power Enterprise Silicon Hose Kit: 158,000 yen
  • Power Enterprise Air Impulse II Kit: 52,000 yen
  • Power Enterprise Air Impulse II Carbon Cover Kit: 47,600 yen
  • Power Enterprise Air Impulse II & Carbon Cover Kit: 95,000 yen

For those interested in tuned kits put together to meet a certain power goal, Power Enterprise also released the 530R, 560R and 600R kits to meet 530ps, 560ps and 600ps goals respectively. The contents of the kits and pricing follows:

  • 530R Kit: Featuring a tuned P-Map BB device, this kit costs 157,000 yen and nets you a 10% power increase with a 16% midrange torque increase with no additional modifications.
  • 560R Kit: Adding on to the 530R kit, the 560R kit gets you the Air Impulse II plus carbon cover kit and the Silicon Intake Piping kit. The result is a 16% power gain and a 23% midrange torque improvement. This kit costs 367,500 yen
  • 600R Kit: Last but not least, the 600R kit adds again to the 560R kit with the Super Sonic Titanium muffler and the Power Enterprise upgraded wastegate actuators. Gains are 25% more power over standard and 28% more torque. Cost is 997,500 yen.

And as for the Power Enterprise Upgraded Actuators by themselves we saw at Tokyo AutoSalon, while a price is not fixed yet we can expect one around the 100,000 yen mark. The Four Charger kit itself is still aimed around the 1,500,000 yen region as expected.

Click through the jump to see a collection of updated photos of the parts as well as dyno graphs of each of the kits.

Thanks to Ben @ GTR23.com / GTC Racing for the update!.

TAS2009: Power Enterprise Four Charger GT-R

2009年1月10日

The Power Enterprise R35 GT-R Four Charger made quite a statement when it was announced in December. Twin charging each side of the engine bay for a total of four turbines seems like an interesting idea at first glance but the use of Rotorex superchargers called the usefulness of this into doubt.

GTRBlog spoke with Hideo-san from Power Enterprise today at Tokyo AutoSalon where the Four Charger is on display about the realistic side of the Four Charger setup.

Firstly, yes this kit is planned for sale globally so this isn’t just a one off demo car for AutoSalon. So we asked; Why go down the complicated Four Charger route instead of just doing something like an increase in turbocharger size? The answer is found in terms of peak power RPM and the useable power band.

No-one can really say the VR38DETT motor lacks mid range torque, in fact it’s a great lag free drive in many owners opinions. Power Enterprise think it could be better though so making peak power available at just 4,000 rpm (instead of the ~6,000 rpm standard) is there goal. When they say peak power though they’re not referring to the standard 480ps anymore – they mean as much as 700ps!

Yes this kit is being built to produce as much as 700ps in the top specification. At specifications higher than 600ps your standard injectors and fuel pump are not sufficient anymore and such kits will come with replacements for each. In fact all OE parts not up to the task will be replaced by components in the final kit so that customers will not have to shop around for bits and pieces to finish the job. This includes an ECU solution that is said to defeat all known ECU cutouts such as the overboost protection, transmission failsafe cutout, Japanese speed limiters and so forth.

The P-MAP ECU tuned by Power Enterprise for the R35 GT-R Four Charger is said to be able to intercept the relevant signals which cause the GT-R’s ECU to trigger these protection circuits and prevent it occurring. It’s a separate module that is wired into the ECU harness.

The kit will consist of the superchargers, an intake hard pipe kit w/ silicon joiners and upgraded host clamps, CAI setup, a replacement radiator shroud (aluminium most likely), injectors, fuel pump and so on. An upgraded intercooler is also in development.

As for changing the weight distribution of the car with all this gear at the front of the engine, Power Enterprise say the footprint is quite small and that the weight is not a serious concern.

Right now the kit is still in testing so no final dyno charts are available and for this reason Power Enterprise won’t release any official dyno chart. They will however have these available when the kit is completed to their high standards and proven reliable.

Expect all this to come at a price however, an estimated USD RRP of $10,000 – $15,000 dollars.

For those happy with “just” 600ps, Power Enterprise have you covered as well with their GT600 kit. Check our previous post on that one for contents but photos of the items are below. Their exhaust looks great as expected from these guys.

Thank’s to Hideo-san from Power Enterprise for the time to answer our questions.

Power Enterprise Announce GT-R Tuning Lineup

2008年12月27日

Power Enterprise has been quiet on the GT-R tuning front until now. This week they break their silence and announce their product lineup including one new development that pushes the boundaries of what has been achieved so far.

First up in the range is the 35GTR 560HP kit. This includes the Power Enterprise P-Map ECU, PWR Air Impulse II air filters and intake piping kit. Obviously, this kit is good for 560hp when fitted to a standard GT-R.

Next is the 35GTR 600HP kit which features again, the P-Map ECU, PWR Air Impulse II air filters and intake piping kit. It also adds the PWR Supersonic Titanium 89mm diameter exhaust, and upgraded wastegate actuators.

Power Enterprise also have another secret project they’ve been working on to be shown at Tokyo AutoSalon in January, the Power Enterprise Four Charger System. What they’ve done here is add a pair (that’s right – two) of Rotrex C30-94 superchargers to the already twin-turbo VR38DETT making this a twin-twin-charged setup. VR38DETTRR right!?

Supporting the twin-twin-charged engine setup is upgraded PWR 650cc fuel injectors, a 35GTR 600HP kit as well as a few other custom items. Good for 650hp it’s designed for maximum mid-range torque for circuit time attack work.

The demo car will be at Tokyo AutoSalon from Friday 9th of January, GTRBlog will be there to get some more details and photos of the car so stay tuned for that.

Thanks to Ian from GTRCenter.net for the tip.

Tokyo Auto Salon 2008: Part 5 – Impul, Power Enterprise and BadX R35 GT-Rs

2008年1月19日

badx-tas08-1001

Next up from TAS2008 we have R35 GT-Rs from Impul, Power Enterprise and BadX.

Probably the most interesting was the Power Enterprise R35 GT-R sporting pod filters, some silicon hoses and a painted engine cover. Some nicely chosen 20 Inch wheels finished it off.

Impul seemed to have had limited time to prepare their car just changing the wheels. I’m certain we will see a Impul 35R shortly though and judging from Impul’s previous cars it may be one to watch.

BadX on the other hand should probably have left their GT-R at home unless they were seeking the worst looking wheels of 2008 award. Congratulations if they were.

Don’t forget to click the image links for hi res versions.
