Schmieden Front Lip Spoiler for Nissan GT-R

2009年7月14日

schmieden-lip-000

You may not have heard much about Schmieden before and that’s not really surprising. In the past this German-by-name Japanese based firm has been all about forged wheel and aero manufacturing for Deutschland’s finest exports.

Like other Euro tuners in Japan however, they could not resist the temptation to tweak what is clearly the best car to come out of Japan of all time and stamp their mark on the GT-R tuning scene.

Which is what they’ve done with this attractive 3-piece from lip spoiler released this week. The first piece is the center section which is then added to by two canard components. The canards themselves are available in either GFK (glass reinforced plastic) or carbon fibre.

Cost wise, you’re looking at 183,750 yen for the carbon version and 152,250 yen for the GFK version in Japan.

BBS LM-R Wheels for Nissan GT-R Coming Soon

2009年7月09日

bbs-lmr-gtr

After much success with their classic LM design wheel which debuted in Japan in March 2008, we expect to see LM-R wheels become available for the Nissan GT-R in the near future.

In a partnership with Hashimoto Corporation, BBS will produce this limited edition 20″ wheel in the following sizes and offsets:

Type and Color Size Offset Price
BBS LM-R Front DBK-P 20×9.5J +40 196,350 yen
BBS LM-R Rear DBK-P 20x11J +20 205,800 yen

Each wheel set will come with red center caps with gold BBS logo and anti slip tire features. They’re also guaranteed to be compatible with the standard runflat tires and TPMS system. They’ll be available in just Diamond Black face colour with polished lip for now and they’re manufactured in forged aircraft quality (ACQ) aluminium.

No real photos of a set fitted up yet, just a bad photoshop on the press release, can’t wait to see them on as these wheels look amazing in the flesh.

TAS09: KW Suspension Booth and KW Hydraulic Lift Suspension for GT-R

2009年1月24日

KW Suspension’s been working with Hashimoto for some time now, tuning their Japanese spec GT-R’s suspension on Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. The KW Variant 3 suspension was born of this development work and was launched in 2008 for GT-R owners worldwide.

At Tokyo AutoSalon 2009, KW showed off their new product for the GT-R the Hydraulic Lift Suspension system on their black GT-R demo car decked out in Seibon carbon fibre parts and LSD door system. Twenty inch F1X-Carbon wheels are supplied by Khan Wheels and are a magnesium alloy construction wheel with a carbon fibre inlay. Weight per wheel is around the 13 kg mark. The new 20″ Toyo R888 competition tires assist with the aggressive stance of the car.

The KW HLS system is designed to give the user in-cabin height adjustment facility to enable the owner to raise or lower their car on the fly. Available in 2 (HLS2) and 4 (HLS4) wheel kits, this is the same setup KW has previously sold for Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini’s to enable them to have a more practical supercar. Demo video is after the jump.

The HLS2 kit comes in at 1,020,600 yen while the HLS4 kit is a touch more at 1,209,600 yen. This includes the KW Variant3 height, rebound and damper adjustable suspension integrated into the hydraulic lift system.

To help promote the availability and test of the KW Suspension GT-R parts, they’ve built the Nissan GT-R Webspecial Site which is up now at the link below.

Hashimoto Corp & KW Suspension Development at Nurburgring

2008年8月08日

Kyoto based Hashimoto Corporation is teaming up with German suspension firm KW Suspension to develop new suspension for the R35 GT-R. Hashimoto have been in the European import tuning scene in Japan forever but when a car as good as the R35 comes along they don’t sit around and let it pass by. Last month they packed their red Hashimoto demo GT-R in a shipping container bound for Germany.

Over the coming months they intend to develop suspension and by October 2008 be proving it at Nurburgring Time Attack.

In November, Hashimoto and KW Suspension will show the car at the Essen Motorshow 2008 in Essen, Germany and hope to be selling Nurburgring proven suspension around the same time.

We’ll keep you posted on their progress. Click through the jump to see the photo gallery from Hashimoto Corporation!
