<p>E85チューンにより、このGT-Rはマスタングダイノで573whp（ホイールhp）、577ft-lbのトルクを発生。このパワーを達成するため、950ccインジェクターとWalbroのフューエルポンプを２基がけで燃料を供給しています。ハイパワーと低い燃焼温度を両立でき、実際エンジンの全体の温度を抑えることができたという大きなベネフィットがありました。</p>
<p>このGT-Rのオーナーはこのテストの後ホイールとタイヤを交換して、数日後にまたテストを行うとのことです。<br />
ノーマルターボとE85燃料との組み合わせで、どこまでパフォーマンスを上げられるか、NAGTROCのフォーラムで進捗が報告されています。目が離せませんね。</p>

<p>Cobb Tuning are in the giving mood this festive season as well as they&#8217;ve completed the finishing touches on a set of brand spanking new canned tunes for Nissan GT-R AccessPORT owners.</p>
<p>You may have heard by now of the latest breakthrough innovation in tuning the GT-R. A method known as proportional gain boost control which allows more elegant control of the GT-R&#8217;s boost. This helps especially at the top end where boost spikes and wastegate creep were turning into big big problems indeed. With these problems resolved, the Cobb AccessPORT has gone on to power some <a href="http://www.gtrblog.jp/?s=goto+racing">monster GT-Rs with one over 785awhp</a>. </p>
<p>While 787hp may not be everyone&#8217;s goal, over the past week we have also seen a <a href="http://blogs.cobbtuning.com/2009/12/25/cobb-tuning-ots-map-tuned-gt-r-does-10s/">&#8220;AccessPORT tune only&#8221; but otherwise completely standard GT-R break the 10 second barrier</a> (10.953@126.79) at the drag strip. Quite a nice result with the new way of mapping boost control.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.gtrblog.jp/category/tunernews/cobbnews/">COBB Tuning</a> have completed yet another addition to their lineup just days after announcing their <a href="http://www.gtrblog.jp/2009/12/15/cobb-tuning-silicone-intake-hose-kit/">Intake Hose Kit for the GT-R</a>. This time it&#8217;s a range of 3.5&#8243; stainless steel midpipes for the GT-R which are built to the typical top quality finish of other <a href="http://www.gtrblog.jp/category/tunernews/cobbnews/">COBB Tuning products</a>.</p>
<p>The midpipes are constructed from 304 grade stainless steel and are tig welded and the flex sections are internally lined for extra durability. The primary pipe diameter is 2x 3&#8243; which feeds into a single 3.5&#8243; pipe downstream.</p>
<p>The catless version predictably deletes the two secondary catalytic converters on the OEM version while the catted version features two fixed high flow cat coverters to keep the exhaust nice and street legal.</p>
<p>The guys at COBB have seen some decent gains from this midpipe and have <a href="http://www.gtrblog.jp/category/tunernews/cobbnews/">published the dyno chart</a>s using <a href="http://surgeline.cobbtuning.com/dyno/index.php?gb=0&#038;hp=1&#038;torque=1&#038;afr=1&#038;rpm=1&#038;runid1=228&#038;rgb1=000000255&#038;runid2=229&#038;rgb2=204000000&#038;runid3=231&#038;rgb3=000153000">this really cool online dyno graph tool</a>. </p>

<p><a href="http://www.gtrblog.jp/category/tunernews/cobbnews/">COBB</a> are choosing a fine time to launch a new reasonably priced GT-R product, just in time for Christmas? Maybe it wont make it in time to find it&#8217;s way under your tree this year but check it out. </p>
<p>This full silicon hose and clamp kit does away with your stock plastic and rubber hoses. The strong 4-ply and 5-ply silicon items are far more durable, heat resistant and resistant to expansion under boost than the OEM type so makes a sensible upgrade.</p>
<p>The clamps included are the T-bolt kind and are superior to the standard hose clamps albeit costlier, probably why OEMs stick with the vanilla flavor. Some may have seen from experience though that with more power than stock the GT-R likes to pop off an intake pipe occasionally.</p>
<p>Available in blue and black colors, the set retails at $695.</p>

<p>The guys over on <a href="http://www.nagtroc.org/">NAGTROC</a> have <a href="http://www.nagtroc.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=33384">a pretty interesting discussion going</a> regarding custom tuning of the staple GT-R ECU upgrade, <a href="http://www.gtrblog.jp/2008/08/19/cobb-tuning-accessport-now-available/">the Cobb AccessPORT</a>. The guys have figured out how to write maps that control boost pressure based on RPM.</p>
<p>While this doesn&#8217;t sound like much when described like that (and there&#8217;s probably more to it), its actually quite a big deal. What it allows the average GT-R owner to do is to get more tuning value from their Cobb AccessPORT before resorting to electronic boost controllers and aftermarket wastegate actuators to keep the GT-Rs small turbos from boost spiking, especially on gear change.</p>
<p>The guys at <a href="http://www.gtrblog.jp/category/tunernews/gtc/">GTC Racing</a>  have used the latest code and maps on their GTR to run 10.8 @ 125.92 mph at Santa Pod drag strip in the UK. This car is fitted with neither a boost controller or a set of actuators. It&#8217;s also running street tires but is fitted with a full turbo back exhaust and Forge Motorsports upgraded intercooler.</p>

Thanks to the hard work and forsight by GTC-Racing based in the UK, who spent hours road and dyno testing, the AccessPORT can now be yours and features, as expected, two stages of power upgrades just as the overseas models do.</p>
<p>The net performance gain for each AP stage is:</p>
<p><strong>Stage 1, 97 RON Fuel:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>+63 hp and +70 lbft of torque</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Stage 2, 97 RON Fuel:</strong></p>

<li>+70 hp and +90 lbft of torque</li>

<p>So the Euro spec Cobb AccessPORT features not just those two maps but also the following purpose built maps:</p>

<li>Anti Theft (security mode, car will not start)</li>
<li>Valet Mode (reduces rev limit and power level, so car cannot be driven aggressively by others)</li>
<li>Stock Style (normal tune with only speed limiter removed)</li>
<li>Economy (maximum fuel economy mode, sacrificing performance for better fuel economy)</li>
</ul>
<p>There are also tonnes of other extremely useful functions like:</p>
<ul>
<li>Re-flashes ECU through factory Data Port (OBD)</li>
<li>Ability to uninstall and revert back to original (stock) ECU data</li>
<li>Ability to store multiple maps on unit, allows switching between maps at user&#8217;s convenience</li>
<li>Ability to read DTCs (trouble codes) from the ECU, BCM, Multi-AV, IPDM, Pre-crash Seat Belt, Meter/M&#038;A, and Adaptive HL computers</li>
<li>Ability to clear DTCs (trouble codes) from all vehicle computers including infamous &#8220;Bonnet Light&#8221;</li>
<li>Ability to update reflash maps as improvements become available</li>
<li>Firmware is Internet updatable (new features may be added as they become available)</li>

<p><a href="http://www.gtrblog.jp/category/tunernews/cobbnews/">COBB Tuning</a> have been working on <a href="http://www.gtrblog.jp/2008/06/03/cobb-tuning-coil-over-conversion-kit">this kit for a while now</a> and this week have released a statement announcing it&#8217;s immediate availability from their <a href="http://www.cobbtuning.com/dealers/">network of dealers</a>.</p>
<p>Final specifications include 700 lb/in front springs and 600 lb/in rear spring rates including helper springs at the rear to keep the springs seated at all times. <a href="http://www.gtrblog.jp/category/tunernews/cobbnews/">COBB</a> can also do custom spring rates on request. </p>
<p>On top of this the kit adds height adjustability and factory rubber bushes are replaced with spherical bearing top mounts.</p>
<p>The part number for this kit is 9C1800 and the price is a bargain at $1995USD for what is ultimately a great alternative to a full set of coilovers. </p>

<p>Not content with just cornering the ECU upgrade market <a href="http://www.gtrblog.jp/category/tunernews/cobbnews/">COBB Tuning</a> have also taken their experience and known how and begun applying it to the Nissan&#8217;s turbochargers.</p>
<p>Today on their tuning blog they have detailed a compressor (8.5mm larger) and turbine wheel (10mm) upgrade over the standard item. To accommodate such larger wheels, they&#8217;ve machined out the standard turbo housings and fitted custom sleeves and bearings.</p>
<p>After upgrades and ECU tuning, utilising their own <a href="http://www.gtrblog.jp/2008/08/19/cobb-tuning-accessport-now-available">AccessPORT product</a>, they expect to see power gains in excess of 150hp.</p>

They fitted up a straight through no cats, no mufflers exhaust from the turbos back and made a short video of the soundtrack. Well now the car has a stage 2 tune installed via the <a href="http://www.gtrblog.jp/category/tunernews/cobbnews/">Cobb Tuning</a> <a href="http://www.gtrblog.jp/2008/08/19/cobb-tuning-accessport-now-available">AccessPORT</a>. The car is now sounding a lot different and I think a lot better.
