BBS USA has worked with BBS Japan to make the BBS LM range of 20″ wheels in GT-R sizes available in the US this year. Regular readers will remember when we announced this after a tip off from BBS USA in November last year.

We can now see that the LM-ACQ DSK (Silver) wheels are up on the Tirerack website for sale as of 1st April 2009. Price per front wheel is set at $1,475 with each rear coming in at $1,550.

Stats remain the same, 20×9.5″ up front and 20×10.5″ in the back. Check out our photo gallery from Tokyo AutoSalon 2009 where we were able to get hands on with these upcoming wheels.

BBS’s plans to roll out two new colours for the Nissan GT-R was announced in late 2008 after the initial run of LM-DBK (Diamond Black) 20″ wheels sold out in a very short time. Only 100 sets of the Diamond Black colour BBS wheel were made.

The colours you see here are the new normal production run of BBS LM-ACQ wheels in the two new colours. Diamond Silver and Gold Face. These shown here are 20″ versions specifically for the Nissan GT-R.

These will be available in both Japan and the US this year and come in sizes 20×9.5″+40mm front and 20×10.5″+20mm rear. BBS Japan and BBS USA will have more price and availability information shortly.

BBS Japan made waves in March when they announced they would produce a limited edition 20″ wheel for the Nissan GT-R exclusively for the Japanese market. The BBS LM-DBK-P (Diamond Black painted center) wheel was produced for the Japanese market in an extremely limited, and now sold out, 100 sets.

A few of those sets made it out of Japan to grace show cars at SEMA and the like and the US crowd liked what they saw.

BBS USA has reached a deal with BBS Japan recently which will see the production line fired up again to produce these wheels exclusively for the US market. That’s right, now only US owners will have access to the BBS LM-DBK-P 20″ GT-R offset/pattern wheels complete with US pricing.

BBS Japan recently announced two new colours for the Japanese market, LM-DSK-P (Diamond Silver) and GP (Gold Face) but will no longer sell the LM-DBK-P there. BBS USA will offer the LM-DSK-P wheels as well.

Expect to see these by December or January at prices yet to be determined.

Well if you didn’t get in on the BBS LM-DBK limited edition, it’s too late as the official word from BBS is that they’ve completely sold out the 100 sets they planned on making. If you are really set on the classic BBS LM look they have great news for you as they launch their BBS LM-ACQ range of wheels specifically for the Nissan GT-R R35. ACQ stands for Air Craft Quality and refers to the strength of the forged aluminium used creating these wheels.

Available again in 20×9.5″+40mm fronts and 20×10.5″+20mm rears BBS now feature two new colours. LM-ACQ DSK (Diamond Silver painted) and GP (Gold Face).

The price for the LM-ACQ DSK is 169,050 yen per front and 175,350 yen per rear wheel. The GP comes in at 175,350 yen front and 181,650 yen per rear. Expect these to be Japan only for now and come with a premium on top for international shipping.
