ラグーナ蒲郡（愛知県）で、R35GTRClubの全国オフが催されました。
100台以上のR35 GT-R が集まり、駐車場は GT-R で埋め尽くされました。
このイベントには、ユーザーのGT-Rばかりでなく、Kansai サービス、HKS、NISMO、ノルドリンク、トミーカイラ、橋本コーポレーションといった、GT-R のカスタマイズをリードするメーカーやショップのデモカーも参加していました。
また、GT-R マガジンによる取材＆アンケートも実施されていました。次号（8月1日発売）の GT-R マガジン 094号でもこの模様が紹介される予定とのことですが、一足お先にGTRBlogが撮影してきた写真をお楽しみ下さい。

Chris over at AutomoBlog has given me a heads up on a regular supercar meetup in North Carolina, USA. This is a meetup with a bit of a difference though because for $200 – $300, YOU could be in the drivers seat of three of the seven hottest machines on the street today – the Nissan GT-R included.

The cars in the lineup are impressive and include, the Ferrari F430, Lamborghini Gallardo, Porsche 911 Turbo, Aston Martin V8 Vantage, Nissan GT-R, BMW M3 and Mercedes C63 AMG. During one tour you’ll get to drive up to three of these on a one, two or four hour package.

AutomoBlog went along for a four hour package and wrote up their experiences, check the link below because if you’re nearby this may be right up your alley. Apparently the GT-R was banged up quite badly on the day they were there but has been replaced by now. Sounds like it doesn’t drive itself after all eh?

Well known Nissan parts and tuning company, Forged Performance, in cooperation with NAGTROC and Koni Challenge Team Freedom Autosport, successfully completed, quite possibly the largest GT-R-only track day in the world.

On February 23, 2009, no less than 21 GT-R’s made the pilgrimage to Virginia International Raceway in Danville, VA to tackle this world renowned race track. All skill levels were invited to attend, and the event went off without incident. All the GT-R’s ran strong and reliably all day long, and many of the top drivers putting down some impressive lap times in fairly stock cars.

In addition to the seemingly unlimited amount of track time, Bryan Hise from JRZ Suspension, hosted a suspension tech session which highlighted some of the considerations involved when modifying the GT-R’s suspension system. JRZ equipped GT-R’s set the fastest laps of the day, and attendees were invited to ride along and experience the track at speed.

Special thanks to Derek Whitis and his team, for their generous hospitality, and all the NAGTROC members that made this event most memorable. Forged Performance hopes to make this a bi-annual event, so look for details on the upcoming Nov, 2008 VIR NAGTROC track event.

After a successful 2008 GT-R Nationals event last year the 2009 GT-R Nationals promises to be even bigger and better. This year it’s combined with the Z Nationals and the G Nationals for all the Z and G series owners.

The GT-R Nationals event is a circuit racing, time attack, drag racing, dyno shootout and car show event that runs over four days. So far the schedule looks pretty packed:

• September 24th (Thursday) & 25th (Friday) – Road course racing, driver instruction and time attack at Talladega Gran Prix Raceway
• September 26th (Saturday) – Dyno comp and car show at Z1 Motorsports
• September 27th (Sunday) – Quarter mile drag comp at Alabama International Raceway

Should be a great long weekend with great events. Pricing wont be too bad either, entry into the road course racing should be around the $150/driver region which includes driver instruction if you want it.

The R35 GT-R Club (Japan) meetings got off to a good start for 2009 this weekend with a few special guests in attendance. To start off with it was a great day with 60+ R35s in attendance making it the biggest gathering yet at Daikoku Futo Parking Area.

Highlight of the day was R35 GT-R Club President, Ado-san, was able to show off his new Ultimate Black Opal Nissan GT-R SpecV. The first recipient of the new SpecV he also took it out to Mine’s recently to show Mine’s President Michizo Niikura-san.

Speaking of Mine’s they also brought their new Spec-X 6.0 GT-R out to the meet. Other attendees include Arios who we were just talking about the other day.

Coming up this Saturday the 7th of February, Alex Gorodji, author of the new book “The Nissan GT-R. High Performance Manual. An International Guide to High-Performance Components” will be signing copies at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

GTRBlog reader Kunani will have his Budez Nissan GT-R on display at the signing. The Budez GT-R will also feature in the new book.

If you’re in the area I recommend getting down and checking out Kunani’s car as it’s one amazing GT-R. The book is one of the first I know of to be published on the R35 GT-R in English so should prove to be an interesting read.

Buttonwillow Circuit got a workout today with the North American GTR Owners Club – NAGTROC – showing up for their track day meet. Among attendees were Z Car Garage, Kunani from Budez.com, AXIS Wheels, and lots of other NAGTROC members.

The largest get together yet for the Singaporean GTR Owners club was on today with 14 GT-Rs turning up. Lots of modified and unique GT-Rs are getting around in Singapore.

Nismo Festival wasn’t the only hot ticket outing on over the weekend, the R35 GT-R Club of Japan held an enkai style party at the Dai Hakone Hotel in Kanagawa, Japan as well on Saturday night.

Members were invited along for a meet and greet and banquet followed of course by some serious car talk and drinking. GTRBlog was also kindly invited to attend the function (no gatecrashers allowed!) and so along we went and took some photos.

A highlight was the special guest star who made an appearance. Junpei Okamura-san from Nismo, famous for leading many racing projects over the years but most recently heading up the development of the Nismo ClubSport Package R35 GT-R, attended the meeting bringing along the official Nismo Clubsport Package brochures for everyone.

Okamura-san was kind enough to bring along the very first Nismo Clubsport Package demo car to the meeting for us to get hands on with. So we did, we also got a nice sound clip / video of the exhaust so you can hear what a 1,890,000 yen exhaust sounds like.

Just a nice couple of photos from the weekend’s Nissansportz National at Silverstone Racetrack in the UK. The first time a KPGC10 GT-R and an R35 GT-R were on the same track at the same time in the UK and possibly the world (outside Japan of course!).

Looks like loads of fun and £2,000 was raised for charity so all for a good cause.

Just got these photos sent in by a reader, Dave from Singapore, there was a small meetup for Singapore’s R35 GT-R owners recently. He also spotted this GT-R parked outside the Hilton with the full Power House Amuse kit sporting a Mine’s exhaust, BBS LM-DBK 20″ wheels and a HKS EVC boost controller. Yum…

The GT-R Owners Club of Japan has held their 12th annual meeting this weekend. Lot’s and lots of R35s were in attendance as well as loads of legacy Skyline GT-Rs from all generations. One of the meet events included a parade lap around the Twin Ring Motegi circuit before the Formula Nippon race there today.

The 12th Annual Nismo Festival is now locked in for Sunday, November 30th 2008. Held at Fuji Speedway, this year’s highlight is a giant SuperGT GT500 GT-R stage as well as loads of other GT-Rs old and new. Other events are also in the planning stages.

This is one of, if not THE best GT-R event annually in Japan and thousands upon thousands will be in attendance. Definitely worth a trip to Japan just for this.

The Nissan Technical College has four campuses around Japan. Tochigi (at the plant where the GT-R is manufactured) Yokohama, Aichi and Kyoto. The Aichi campus held an open day this weekend and invited the community in to check the school out as well as get a chance to look and learn about GT-Rs.

The R35 represented along with KPGC10 GT-R, an R34 GT-R N1, the retired R34 GT500 car. There was also this insane RB26 (naturally aspirated) powered oldschool Z giving a decent burnout lesson to all the kids.

Why don’t they have schools like this near me? More photos from the day after the jump.

Suzuka Circuit (Mobility Land) in cooperation with Option magazine are holding the R35 GT-R Customised Street event at Suzuka Circuit over August 23rd and August 24th. This co-incides with round 6 of the 2008 SuperGT series, the 37th annual POKKA 1000km race at Suzuka so the turnout will be huge.

R35 GT-Rs from every top Japanese tuner will be out on display at Grand Prix Square just outside the circuit. There will also be a demo lap on the track.

Tuners featured will be, Zele International, Autech Tsukada, Garage Yawata, Garage Defend, Esprit, HKS Kansai, Original Runduce, Sunline Racing, Concept, Blitz, Garage Sauras, Midori Seibei Center, Garage Active and MCR! One word for this, woah. It’s probably the biggest GT-R event since TAS in January with more GT-Rs.

Well as we reported the other day, the biggest monthly meetup of Japan’s R35 GT-R Club was held on Sunday 27th July and 40 GT-Rs turned up. Some people are sporting some minor modifications on their GT-Rs already and we now have a bunch of photos of those guys up close.

In this newest of traditions the R35 GT-R meet at Daikoku was held today. The first such meet to have been blessed with dry weather. About 40 GT-Rs attended today’s meet which makes it the biggest meet up yet.

For those new to this, Daikoku Futo Parking Area (PA) is an extremely popular meetup place for car nuts on the freeway between Tokyo and Yokohama about 40minutes drive from the heart of Tokyo. Every month for the last three months R35 GT-R club members have met up here to socialise and check out each other’s rides.
