Vivid Racing have given us a few early snaps of their SEMA build which will be stationed at the Capitol Forged booth. This is not the completed build mind you so don’t think we wont see a few surprises in Vegas. For one thing the car still has a paint job to come, flat red with black accents according to Vivid.

Obviously, being at the Capitol Forged booth, one of the main features of the car is the Capitol Forged three piece wheels. These 20×9.5 and 20×10.5 carry over the flat red/black theme. These are then wrapped in Pirelli PZeros in 255/35ZR20 and 275/30ZR20 sizes.

Vivid also went with a Meisterschaft titanium muffler with stainless steel midpipes exhaust. Lightweight muffler is just 7 lbs and the total system all up is just 30 lbs.

Looks like there’ll be quite a number of complete resprays at SEMA this year. Very interested to see how they turn out. SEMA starts on Tuesday so get your act together!

Following on from the other day, TiTek have released another update on their new range of carbon fibre OE replacement parts for the Nissan R35 GT-R. We have some popular parts here as well as some new ideas.

Something everyone is going to want is a set of carbon fibre hood NACA ducts. TiTek have these going in matte and gloss finishes for $729 USD and $699 USD respectively. Both including shipping.

Next there is this carbon roof antenna cover replacement. Again available in gloss for $199 and matte carbon for $219 shipped.

Lastly is this carbon dash vent cover. Not something we’ve seen before but if you’re going to using carbon everywhere I think small touches like this might make the difference. $699 USD for the gloss and $729 USD for the matte item shipped.

TiTek

Well it’s good to see some serious R & D going into the Nissan GT-R’s transmission. South Side Performance in Sioux Falls, South Dakota have had a GT-R transmission apart for several months. So far they’ve developed some key upgrades we think a large number of guys would be very happy to see.

An upgraded kevlar clutch pack is first up with heavy duty internal springs. This is something the early Japanese tuners were finding out they could do with. Hardened gears and changes to the transmission casings themselves are also being developed.

A lot of the world is focussed on the GT-R and it’s transmission right now. Get the formula right there and it’s on in terms of making these R35s into absolute animals on the street and circuit.

South Side Performance, チューニングニュース

Just a sneak peak at MCR’s upcoming side skirt prototypes for GT-R. Not a great photo or a huge change. A subtle difference is all it takes to set it apart sometimes. No doubt the finished product will be carbon just like their front lip spoiler.
