Nismo R35 GT-R Testing at Sendai Highland: Part 3
Following on from yesterday’s track action photos of the Nismo R35 GT-R at Sendai Highland raceway testing we have these close up detailed photos. So we finally get a good upclose look at the grill and ducting modifications Nismo have made obviously providing a lot more airflow to the radiator and brakes.
The wheels close up are now sporting Nismo logos and from the rear you can see an additional differential oil cooler. Inside the stereo, speakers and A/C controls are gone. Replaced with simple carbon fiber panels for controls. The standard MFD is obscured by a large data display unit. Interestingly the door trims still remain along with other trim pieces like the kick plates.

whats up with that paintjob? orangepeel galore…
man, i would kill for that CF hood and trunk…
It’s interesting that they took a white car and painted it red instead of just starting off w/a red car. I wonder if it was a pre-production model that they had leftover.
That’s what I’m talking about. Striped of the Godzila fat ass weight to a more reasonable one. Looking good on pics I’m surprised
its a shame you can’t get the front wheels to the same offset as the back. Although, the offset does look a little on the conservative side.
Gotta keep an eye on this car and hope they do something more radical than a few aero tweaks
I was looking at the paint as well and wondering if it might just be vinyl. There are a couple of pics where it is rough with what looks like bubbles.
I hope those Potenza RE55 come on the Vspec – they seem to be R compound DOT tires.
@ttknf – Might be because the trunk and mirrors along with other stuff were still in CF. So instead of having the gtr red already and painting the cf stuff red would have mismatched colors. They could just use factory paint. But its only a theory, lol. Or its some kind of more advanced paint for lighter weight, XD. Now i’m just being idiotic.
why they dont make adjustaments in the padleshifters so he can turn with the stearing?
