Zele International Nissan R35 GT-R 1:24th Scale Model

These things take far too long to make! But here it is in 85% finished form. One of my Tamiya models done up like the Zele R35 GT-R. Needs paint touch ups and have to finish the engine bay but I thought I’d take some pics and put them up anyway.

Next up is my Mine’s one which is also 85% done but needs little Mine’s decals to finish off really.

1:24 is too small. Any news on 1:18 or 1:12?

It looks good. I have a ton of models, but I just like the boxes. I haven’t actually built one in forever.

    I’ve just ordered a Tamiya R35, tho I haven’t put a model together since I was a kid…
Anyone have any links to instructional model making websites?
    Cheers

I don’t really but… order 2 kits because you’ll probably stuff one up. Lol I stuffed two up.

My BIGGEST tip on building these models is – buy Tamiya brand masking tape and a modelling knife set.

You cannot paint a model without masking tape and you cant cut masking tape finely enough without a very very sharp blade.

Regular masking tape doesn’t work on the scale models it has to be the very good masking tape to stop the paint bleeding underneath.

Also, prime your body parts before painting them. Tamiya spray primer is good but I also found Games Workshop “white” (it’s really grey) primer is great and comes in a bigger can.

Modelling can be fun but its extremely extremely time consuming to do a good job.
