BBS Producing Limited Edition R35 GT-R Wheels

In a limted run of 100 sets famous European wheel manufacturer BBS will be producing it’s LM-DBK-P (LM Model, Diamond Black, Polished) wheels for the R35 GT-R to be released in May 2008 to the Japanese market only.

Specs:

  • Front Wheels: 20×9.5J offset +40 5×114.3 PCD
  • Rear Wheels: 20×10.5J offset +20 5×114.3 PCD

These wheels will feature the red BBS center caps which look so good as well as be compatible with the Nissan tire pressure management system (TPMS) which is fitted to the R35 GT-R.

Priced at 175,350 JPY per front wheel and 181,650 JPY per rear wheel these are definitely not for anyone without deep pockets at just over $7k USD plus shipping a set.

Personally I’ve been waiting since December for someone to put some BBS wheels on their GT-R and now it looks like that wait is almost over.

    What size and brand tires are they using with BBS rims? I know the wrong combo really sets off the handling and possibly the ECU.

    @GT1 GTR
    The fronts are 285 35 20 (http://www.bespokeventures.com/blog/tag/mines/)according to the above link and the rears are probably 315 30 20. I don’t know about the handling, but when I get a GTR I will probably put either 285 35 20 front and rear in order to reduce understeer,(at the existing wheels) or 285 35 20 front and 305 35 20 rear to maintain the current set up. Moreover I would use max performance tires instead of R compound tires as the grip of this car is allready at mythical levels and I don’t see the point using competition tires. I would go for pirelli p zero’s.
